Reservations due for annual dinner

Awards to be given to local volunteers

ROCK FALLS – Local volunteers will be honored at the 57th annual Rock Falls Chamber of Commerce dinner meeting.

The dinner, which is open to the public, will be Feb. 7 at the Days Inn Hotel, 2105 First Ave. Social time will start at 6 and dinner at 6:30 p.m.

Three Shoulder to the Wheel awards will be named for an individual, a club or organization and a youth group.

Bethany Bland is president and CEO of the chamber.

“Shoulder to the Wheel awards are a very important award in our community,” Bland said. “It represents the hard work of the volunteers in our community throughout the year.”

Nomination and dinner registration forms are available at rockfallschamber.com or at the chamber office, 601 W. 10th St.

The deadline to nominate is Jan. 18, but that probably will be extended a week, Bland said.

Dinner is $25; reservations are due by Jan. 28 at 815-625-4500.
