Rosalie G. Kelly
AMBOY – Rosalie G. Kelly, 80, of Amboy, died Monday, Jan. 7, 2013, at her home. She had worked for Midwest Rug Mill, Allied Locke, and Mapleside Manor Nursing Home before her retirement.
She was born Aug. 16, 1932, in Sublette, the daughter of Irving and Lucile (Harris) Ankney. She married Gene Kelly on April 26, 1952, in Amboy. She enjoyed bingo, cards, trips to the boat, her friends at Yogi Bear, and her dogs, Susie and Abby. She also enjoyed time spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Special thanks to Pat Spratt and Marie Miles for their many trips to Dixon. Rosie was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church and the Red Hat Society.
Rosie is survived by her husband; children, Vicki (Jerry) Bonnell, Richard “Buck” (Sharon) Kelly, and Lois (Pat Jr.) Jones, all of Amboy, and Brenda (Doug) McLaughlin of Sublette; 10 grandchildren, Marty Bonnell, Kevin Bonnell, Jennifer (Sean) Welker, James Bonnell, Jerime (Melissa) Kelly, Mandy Kelly, Nicole (Brendon Atkinson) Ohlendorf, Eric Ohlendorf, Brian (Rose Hankemeier) Miller, and Christopher Jones; and 10 great-grandchildren.
