Illinois voters, be aware of gun-control bill
The Illinois Legislature has been dealing with gun control and concealed carry. I believe there have been reports that the governor and Chicago mayor’s gun control bill has not fared well just recently, so another attempt to approve it is in the works.
It sounds like they may attach it to the upcoming bill pertaining to the federal-ordered concealed-carry law. If this is true, the concealed-carry bill will pass if a yes vote is cast, but also the hidden “rider” containing their gun-control bill.
So, when it comes time for a vote, make sure your legislator is aware of what the actual bill contains. A “no” vote on a bill containing unwanted gun-control baggage would then send it back to our legislators. The concealed-carry portion will then have to be brought up for vote again, as that portion of the bill has been ordered by federal court.
