Business offers scholarships

Graduating high school seniors from Whiteside County or the surrounding area are eligible to apply for the community college scholarships. The focus is to encourage students, who want to stay in the area, to continue their education to effectively enter the work force.

Applicants must submit a 500-word or less statement indicating their area of interest and how they plan to use education to their advantage in the future.

The statement and a high school transcript are due by April 1 to Rock River Lumber & Grain, 5502 Lyndon Road, Prophetstown, IL 61277.
