Matthew L. Simmons, 28, of Sterling; 11:58 a.m. Sunday in the 600 block of West Fourth Street from an investigation that began Nov. 10; theft, more than $500; taken to Whiteside County Jail.

Rock Falls Police

Abdon Ocha-Villaneda, 31, of Sterling; 11:54 p.m. Dec. 16; violation of an order of protection, domestic battery, interference with the reporting of domestic violence; taken to Whiteside County Jail.

Robert J. Brashaw, 43, of Clinton, Iowa; 2:48 a.m. Jan. 2 on state Route 84 and U.S. Route 30; no rear registration light, driving with a suspended license; posted bond. Aid provided by Fulton Police.

Kevin H. Lucas, 22, of Sterling; 10:50 p.m. Friday in Sterling; tinted windows, operating an uninsured motor vehicle; posted driver’s license.

William D. Kendrick, 22, of Rock Falls; 3:05 a.m. Saturday on state Route 40, north of Sterling; expired registration sticker, improper lane usage. A passenger, a 17-year-old Rock Falls boy, was arrested on a warrant for no valid driver’s license. Tyler R. Fuller, 19, of Rock Falls and Tyree D. White, 19, of Rock Falls, also passengers, were arrested for consumption of alcohol by a minor; both posted bond. The driver of a second vehicle, a 17-year-old Morrison girl, was cited for following too close, no valid driver’s license – graduated license curfew, zero tolerance – implied consent. Passengers, Stephanie I. Schroeder and Morgan E. Ammon, both 18 and of Sterling, and Hunter L. Ristau, 18, of Rock Falls, were charged with unlawful consumption of alcohol by a minor. After the traffic arrests, Bradley R. Free, 39, and Sandra M. Garcia, 38, both of Sterling, were arrested at their home; contributing to the delinquency of a minor by alcohol – Illinois Social Host Law,” given notice to appear in court. Thomas S. Groharing, 51, of Fulton; 8:25 p.m. Saturday on Ward Road, west of Morrison; improper driving on shoulder of the roadway, two counts – driving under the influence; posted bond.

Christopher D. Gallegos, 19, of Rock Falls; 2:15 a.m. on Thome Road; driving under the influence, consumption of alcohol by a minor; posted bond. Aid provided by Rock Falls Police Department.
