Frankie J. Murray
DIXON – Frankie J. Murray, 60, of Beaufort, S.C., died Sunday, Jan. 6, 2013, at his son’s home in Dixon surrounded by his family.
Frankie was born Aug. 21, 1952, in Centralia, the son of Jesse James and Marjorie (Stone) Murray. He married Kathryn Esse on Dec. 18, 1970, in Morrison, and was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Beaufort. Frankie worked as an independent insurance agent in the Sterling area for 25 years before moving to Beaufort. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War era.
He is survived by his wife; Kathryn of Beaufort; one daughter, Shannon (Cory) Johnson of Beaufort; one son, Travis (Mary) Murray of Dixon; his mother, Marjorie Goshert of Sterling; two brothers, Billie (Patti) Murray of Tampico and Don (Vickie) Goshert of Sterling; two sisters; Ramona (Brian) Millerschoen of Sussex, Wis. and Rhonda (Richard) Newbill of Buena Vista, Ariz.; and six grandchildren, Joshua, Alexander, Hunter, Stone, Alexis and Madilyn.
