Today

BRIBERY CASE: Stacie R. Nailor, 41, of Rock Falls; charged with bribery. Prosecutors say Nailor accepted $200 from an inmate at the Dixon Correctional Center on May 12, 2011, in exchange for a pound of tobacco and 1,000 rolling papers.

On the docket: Status hearing.

Wednesday

MURDER/CHILD BATTERY CASE: Tiffany D. Fassler, 37, of Dixon; charged with first-degree murder and four counts of aggravated battery of a child. Police say she kicked her 6-year-old stepson in the chest on Dec. 30, 2010; he hit his head on a bathroom vanity, suffered serious brain damage and died nearly a year later. 

On the docket: Fassler, who is free on a $30,000 bond, has a hearing on a motion to modify her bond conditions.

DRUG CASE: Salvatore Ferlauto, 50, of Dixon; charged with delivery of a controlled substance within 1,000 feet of a church and delivery of a controlled substance. Police say he sold Xanax to an informant in October.

On the docket: Status hearing.

BURGLARY CASE: Mitchell R. Jacobson, 25, of Rochelle; charged with burglary. Police say Jacobson and another man broke into an Ashton bar on Nov. 19 and stole bottles of alcohol. 

Jacobson also is charged with two counts of burglary in connection with break-ins at Dave’s Automotive and Ashton Foods on Nov. 9.

On the docket: Status hearing.

MARIJUANA/PARAPHERNALIA CASE: Dustin L. Jones, 31, of Dixon; charged with possession with intent to deliver between 500 and 2,000 grams of marijuana, possession of between 500 and 2,000 grams of marijuana, and two misdemeanor counts of possession of drug paraphernalia. Police say a search of his Chicago Avenue home on Oct. 21, 2011, turned up nearly 3 pounds of marijuana, smoking pipes, and guns. 

On the docket: Status hearing.

Thursday

CHILD PORN CASE: Ronald N. Osborn, 61, of rural Dixon; charged with 20 counts of aggravated child pornography. Police say a search of Osborn’s computer on June 13 turned up multiple images of child pornography. 

On the docket: Pretrial conference, during which the judge and attorneys will discuss matters concerning the case and set a trial schedule.
