Charles A. Keyes

AMBOY – Charles A. Keyes, 86, of Amboy, died Friday, Jan. 4, 2013, at KSB Hospital in Dixon. He had been a participant in Special Olympics.

Charles was born June 4, 1926, in Amboy, the son of Albert S. and Elizabeth T. (Allen) Keyes.

Survivors include his sister, Alice Keyes of Dixon; several nieces and nephews; and his many friends at Kreider Services.

He was preceded in death by five sisters: Mary Lane, Helen Faivre, Genevieve Ehamn, Peg Daniels and Josephine Stewart; and one brother, James Keyes.

Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Amboy, followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. with Monsignor Thomas Bales officiating. Burial will follow at St. Patrick Cemetery in Amboy.

A memorial has been established to Kreider Services.
