Amboy wins, BV and Fulton lose in other TRAC action

The Erie Cardinals put on a free-throw shooting exhibition to knock off bitter rival Prophetstown 57-51 and draw even in the Three Rivers on Friday night in Erie.

The Cards (11-6, 3-1) shot 15-for-19 from the free-throw line in the fourth period to stave off the Prophets (9-7, 3-1). Jacob Johnston was 9-for-9 at the stripe in the fourth and 13-for-13 on the game for 25 points.

Prophetstown, paced by Devin Johnson’s 17 points, led 27-23 at the half and trailed just 42-40 entering the fourth. Carter Ames chipped in 14 points for the Prophets, and Rhett Stover hit three 3s to pour in 22 for Erie.
