Mendota hospital to have yoga class

MENDOTA – Yoga instruction will be available Wednesdays from Wednesday to Feb. 27 in Conference Room C at Mendota Community Hospital, 1401 E. 12th St.

Melissa Herbert, a certified 200-hour yoga instructor, will lead the classes.

Chair yoga for seniors will be from 3 to 4 p.m.; gentle yoga will be from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m.; and beginner’s yoga will be from 7 to 8 p.m.

All sessions are designed to improve respiration and circulation, reduce tension, improve balance, and increase strength and flexibility. Students will need to bring a yoga mat or a large towel to each class. 

The cost for the 7-week session is $65. Class size is limited. To register, call 815-539-1411 weekdays.
