The first baby of the new year came into the world via a scheduled cesarean section because he was breech – a position he had been in for two weeks. Charlie was born at 8:38 a.m. Wednesday at CGH Medical Center, less than a week before his due date of Jan. 8. He was 8 pounds, 11 ounces and 21 inches long.
