PROPHETSTOWN – Kathryn Mary McKenna McKinney, 94, formerly of Erie, died Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2013, at Prophets Riverview – Good Samaritan Center in Prophetstown. 

Kathryn was born Dec. 26, 1918, in Chicago, to Marie and Dominic DeMarsailles. She was adopted on Sept. 18, 1919, from St. Vincent Foundling Home in Chicago by Thomas and Mary Riordon of Rock Falls. She married Martin T. McKenna in 1937. He preceded her in death in 1961. She later married Mahlon L. McKinney in 1966. He preceded her in death in 1991.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Joe (Gloria) McKenna of Erie; nine grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. 

She also was preceded in death by two sons, Clare and Tom McKenna; two daughters, Mary McKenna and Annette Frye; and a grandchild.

Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. today at Gibson-Bode Funeral Home in Erie. The Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Ambrose Church in Erie. Private interment will be at Calvary Cemetery in Sterling. 

Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
