CGH offers free balance, bone health sessions

Free all-ages workshops for improving balance and bone health are scheduled this month in Sterling and Rock Falls.

The first session is at 6 p.m. Thursday at YWCA of the Sauk Valley, 412 First Ave. in Sterling. The second session is at 6 p.m. Jan. 15 at the Rock Falls Community Building, 601 W. 10th St.

Sherry DeWalt, certified group fitness instructor at CGH Medical Center, will present both sessions.

Those attending should wear sneakers and comfortable clothes, and bring a large towel or exercise mat.

The programs are the first of several “Growing Healthier” sessions scheduled this year by the CGH Health Foundation and CGH Community Services.

Those who attend will be entered into a $500 drawing, each time they attend. The drawing will be held at year’s end.
