Crash victims remain in ICU
Two local women remain in the neuro/trauma intensive care unit at OSF Saint Anthony Medical Center in Rockford after crashes in Whiteside County over the weekend.
Jacque L. McCallister, 25, of Morrison, whose vehicle struck a tree and caught fire Sunday morning south of Morrison was in critical condition Tuesday evening.
Jackie Payne, 22, of Sterling, whose vehicle hit black ice, spun into a ditch and struck a utility pole Saturday morning west of Sterling was in serious condition Tuesday evening.
