NOVELTY, Mo. – Lewis Wayne Whiles, 63, of Novelty, Mo., passed away Monday, Dec. 24, 2012, at University of Missouri Hospital in Columbia.

Lewis was born Nov. 15, 1949, in Kewanee, the son of Billy Carlos and Kathryn Louise (Martin) Whiles. He graduated from Rock Falls High School, in the class of 1967. After graduation, he served his country in the Army, stationed in Germany.

On Dec. 8, 1967, in Sterling, Lewis married Nellie “Darlene” Jones. To this union, three children were born. She preceded him in death on Jan. 5, 2006. Lewis married Norma Marie Ray on Sept. 1, 2007, in Novelty. She survives at the home.
