Two crashes leave local women in ICU
Two local women are in the neuro/trauma intensive care unit at OSF Saint Anthony Medical Center in Rockford after crashes in Whiteside County over the weekend.
Whiteside County sheriff’s deputies responded to a one-vehicle crash at 5:58 a.m. Sunday on Route 78 north of Bunker Hill Road, south of Morrison.
Jacque L. McCallister, 25, of Morrison, was driving a 1991 Ford Explorer southbound on Route 78, when her vehicle left the road, struck a tree and caught fire, deputies said in a news release.
