MORRISON – Mary A. Pierce, 79, of Pleasant View Nursing Home in Morrison, died Saturday, Dec. 22, 2012, at OSF Saint Anthony Medical Center in Rockford. She was a rental agent for 25 years at Lawson Enterprises in Williamsburg, Va..
Mary was born Jan. 17, 1933, in Morrison, the daughter of Louis and Jennie (Vos) Geerts. She married John T. Pierce on April 21, 1953, in Morrison. He preceded her in death on May 23, 1986. She was a member of Morrison United Methodist Church.
Survivors include two brothers, Robert (Shirley) Geerts and Alan (Donna) Geerts, both of Morrison.
She also was preceded in death by her parents.
Visitation will be from 9:30 to 11 a.m., followed by the funeral at 11 a.m., today at Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home in Morrison, with the Rev. Dan Schenck, pastor of Morrison United Methodist Church, officiating. The graveside service will be at 2 p.m. today at Tampico Memorial Cemetery.
A memorial has been established to Morrison United Methodist Church.
