Rockets fifth at State Farm
The Rock Falls Rockets placed fifth in the small-school portion of the State Farm Classic, beating Prairie Central 61-55 in the fifth-place game Friday at the U.S. Cellular Center in Bloomington.
Steven Armoska scored 20 points for the Rockets (11-4), who led 29-19 at halftime. Alex Leaf had 12 points, and Daegan Wharff added 10.
Rock Falls beat Tri-Valley 51-45 earlier. The Rockets jumped out to a 14-5 lead after one but needed to win the fourth, 18-13, to pull away in the end. Armsoska led the Rockets with 15 points.
