STERLING – A number of January programs are planned at Woodlawn Arts Academy, 3807 Woodlawn Road.

An Ultimate Princess Party, for children of all ages, will be from 3 to 4 p.m. Jan. 19 at the academy’s J. Mark Beaty Performance Center. Children 5 and younger must be accompanied by an adult.

Those attending should feel free to wear gowns, boas, gloves, jewelry, and heels. Activities include learning about princess etiquette, a tea party and a craft.

A princess parade will be the finale. The cost is $10; registration is due by Jan. 16.

A family craft day, for children 2 and older, will be from 10 a.m. to noon Jan. 19. Supplies will be provided with instruction for a 3-D decoupage figurine, and a second project will involve the participants using their imagination. The cost is $5. Registration is encouraged, but not required.

A new session of private art and music lessons will start the week of Jan. 28, with registration open to the public at 9 a.m. Jan. 21. Half-hour and hour-long weekly lessons are available for all ages, in all art disciplines.

Private lessons run in 8-week sessions, with payment for the full 8 weeks due at registration. Visit www.woodlawnartsacademy.com for more information.
