John Roberts Aper

KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. – John Roberts Aper, 87, of Klamath Falls, Ore., passed away Tuesday, Dec. 25, 2012, at Sky Lakes Medical Center in Klamath Falls.

John was born Nov. 5, 1925, to John George and Helen (Reigle) Aper in Sterling. He was very proud of the time he spent in the Marine Corps during World War II.

John and Beverly Hunter were married on July 28, 1957, at the First Lutheran Chapel in Minot, N.D. He graduated with degrees in secondary education, English and math from the College of Idaho. Later, he earned a Master of Library Science degree from the University of Montana. In 1962, he accepted a position as librarian and media specialist at Klamath Union High School.
