STERLING – Mardell Bart, 76, of Sterling, formerly of Dixon, died Wednesday, Dec. 26, 2012, at her home after a sudden illness. She had worked for the physical therapy department at Lee County Nursing Home in Dixon for more than 40 years before retiring.

She was born March 12, 1936, in Teutopolis, the daughter of Ralph and Cecelia (Ordner) Overbeck. She married Richard “Dick” Bart on April 28, 1956, in Teutopolis. He preceded her in death on May 2, 2007. Mardell was a member of St. Anne Catholic Church in Dixon.

Survivors include two sons, William (Susan) Bart Sr. of Morrison and Daniel (Nancy) Bart of Sunbury, Ohio; two daughters, Cindy (Alan) Duffy of Marengo, Ohio, and Deb (George) Stevenson of Avon Lake, Ohio; 15 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren;  two sisters, Sister Nadine Overbeck, OSF, of Joliet, and Mary Maksl of Eagan, Minn.; and one brother, Gerald Overbeck of Sterling.
