Electrical savings $500,000 in 9 months, expert reports
OREGON – Electrical aggregation has saved Oregon households about $500,000 since the program began in March, the City Council was told.
Carl Berg of Rock River Energy Services offered a status update of the program at last week’s meeting.
The current ComEd electric rate is 8.32 cents per kilowatt hour, but Oregon is paying 4.78 cents through Direct Energy, which means residents are saving 42 percent on their electric bills.
