Students trying to break record
AURORA (A) – Middle schools students in Aurora are trying to break a record by creating the world’s largest ball of tape.
Some students at Cowherd Middle School (441 N. Farnsworth, 60505) began their attempt in October, The Beacon-News reported. They asked for masking tape donations through letters and advertising. Donations have come from several states, including New York and Vermont.
The ball has grown to around 300 pounds and is being stored at Culture Stock bookstore in Aurora. The students have at least 1,700 more pounds to go before breaking a record.
