Norman E. Dohlen

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa – Norman Edward Dohlen, 81, of Cedar Rapids, died Thursday, Dec. 20, 2012, at the Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy after a long illness.

Norman was born May 6, 1931, in Mount Morris, the son of John and Ethel (Gilbert) Dohlen. He married Arlene Otis on March 15, 1958, in Mount Morris.

Norman is survived by his wife; two sons, Bradley (Debbie) of DeKalb and John (Aminta) of Kent, Wash.; daughter Susan (Mark) Houy of Marion; eight grandchildren; brother Gilbert (Doris) of Rockford; and sisters Elaine Blume and Dolores Stykel, both of Freeport.
