Rockets roll past Cougars
The Rock Falls Rockets picked up their second nonconference win of the week Saturday, defeating the Eastland Cougars 51-41 at Tabor Gym.
Jordan Giddings had 15 points, four rebounds and two steals for the Rockets (6-7), while Morgan Mammosser finished with 10 points, four rebounds, four assists and four steals.
Rock Falls led 29-21 at halftime, then clamped down defensively in the third quarter to extend the margin to 42-28. Linsey Brown hit a pair of 3-pointers and scored eight points, Aubree Johnson had four rebounds, three assists and two steals to go with her 3-pointer, and Jessica Wind grabbed a team-high five rebounds and four steals and scored two points.
