Senior Vivian Villegas, 17, of Dixon, is Dixon High School’s September Student of the Month. She is the daughter of Deanne Droege-Villegas, of Dixon, and Evaristo Villegas, of Sterling.

Favorite class: Biology 2. The teacher, Mr. Clark, is our Envirothon team coach. All of the material covered in class will help in competition this spring. Last year, our team placed seventh at state.

Favorite teacher: Martha Mauch, math. I’ve had the pleasure of working with her for 3 years. She makes math easy to understand and gives you every tool that you need to succeed. I wouldn’t be surviving AP Calculus without her!
