Favorite class: Spanish. I really enjoy learning Spanish. I’m not sure exactly why, but something about it just appeals to me. Also, the teacher makes it almost like a game.
Favorite teacher: Mrs. Martha Mauch is a great teacher. She teaches calculus, one of the hardest classes in this school, and manages to make it seem as simple as 1-2-3. If a student is barely awake, they will still probably learn the material.
Extracurriculars: Soccer, tennis, band, Scholastic Bowl, Math Team and Leo Club.
After graduation: I’m planning to attend college, although I’m still undecided as to which one. I plan to study engineering and computer programming.
Paycheck: I work as a referee for the YMCA soccer league. I enjoy being there watching the younger kids grow to love soccer just like I did.
Best friend: Joey Hammitt. He prevents things from getting too serious and has lots of fun ideas.
Favorite actor: Robert Downey Jr.
Favorite movie: “Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone.”
Favorite game: Pingpong.
Favorite food: Lasagna.
Favorite place to shop: GameStop.
Other favorites: My favorite holiday is Christmas.
Biggest fear? Drowning.
Pet peeve? I hate having pencil and eraser shavings on my school desk.
Haunts: The tennis courts.
I’m in the dictionary next to: Smart. I read a lot and I enjoy math.
Personal trivia: My birthday is on New Year’s Eve.
Dream job: I would be a computer programmer.
Trading places: Shawn White. He’s famous and he gets to snowboard all day. I would go down a half pipe 10 or so times.
Trading spaces: A ski resort in Colorado. I’ve gone snowboarding only a couple times, but the adrenaline rush and the cold air biting into my face just feel totally amazing.
Read this: “Unwind.” It’s by Neal Shusterman and is a sci-fi novel. I found this series a bit disturbing. It’s about the future of America where a law had been made where troublesome teens could be “unwound” to have all of their body parts donated to help others. It explains how this came about and how such appalling things can come to be seen as normal.
Trend you wish would go away: I really don’t care for skinny jeans. They are uncomfortable and they make me feel even more uncomfortably warm.
Favorite website: League of Legends.
What would you do if you had $100,000: I would pay for all of my college and also buy a laptop.
What do you wish your high school offered?: I wish it had more computer classes.
What’s a tip you would give freshmen for making high school life easier?: Get involved. It makes the time pass by faster while you wait for college.
Shout out to: Hi, Mom!
