Court Call: A roundup of some of this week's Sauk Valley court cases

RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY CASE: Aaron “A.J.” Buser, 36, of Rock Falls; charged with residential burglary. Police say Buser went into a Rock Falls house on Dec. 27 and stole Vicodin. 

On the docket: Bench trial.

ATTEMPTED MURDER/DRUG CASE and DRUG CASE: Dontee L. Brown, 31, of Peoria; charged with attempted murder, possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver, delivery of a controlled substance, and aggravated fleeing. Police say Brown tried to run over an officer who was trying to arrest him and his passenger, Allison V. Dragojevich, 18, also of Peoria, after a cocaine deal in Rock Falls in August.

On the docket: Pretrial conference.


DRUG CASE: Christopher D. Eckhardt, 37, of Sterling; charged with delivery of marijuana within 1,000 feet of a school, delivery of marijuana, delivery of a controlled substance within 1,000 feet of a school, and delivery of a controlled substance. Police say Eckhardt sold marijuana and prescription drugs to an informant twice in October. 

On the docket: Preliminary hearing.

DUI/RECKLESS DRIVING CASE: Roberto L. Reyna, 38, of Rock Falls; charged with leaving the scene of an injury accident, aggravated reckless driving and misdemeanor DUI. Police say Reyna, who was drinking at a party earlier, was backing out of a driveway on April 30, 2011, and hit two pedestrians, a tree, a mailbox, and a landscaping boulder.
