MORRISON – Virginia A. Wilkens, 87, of Morrison, died Wednesday, Dec. 19, 2012, at her home. She was water clerk for the city of Morrison, retiring after 17 years.

Virginia was born Feb. 8, 1925, in Morrison, to Fall and Ella (Dykhuizen) Decker. She married Jay J. Wilkens on March 19, 1946, in Morrison. He preceded her in death on Dec. 10, 2012. She was a member of Ebenezer Reformed Church in Morrison.

Survivors include four daughters, Sandra Wilkens and Cheryl (Brian) Onken, both of Morrison, Deborah (Gary) Juist of Polo, and Ellyn Sue (Charles) Osterday of New Paris, Ind.; one son, Steven (Lou Ann) Wilkens of Lanark; 14 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Marjorie Hook of Morrison.

She also was preceded in death by her brother, Bernard Decker.

Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home in Morrison. The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Ebenezer Reformed Church, with Ken Renkes, director of congregational care, officiating. Interment will be at Grove Hill Cemetery in Morrison.
