Send message of support on Christmas Eve

Text Size: AaAaAaAaAa

I ask all people who read this to turn off their Christmas lights for 10 minutes at 8 p.m. on Christmas Eve in remembrance of, and say prayers for, those lost in the shooting in Connecticut.

If you don’t have Christmas lights or don’t celebrate Christmas, join us by turning off any lights you have indoors and/or out. Don’t worry about your time zone. Just do it at 8 p.m. on Dec. 24 wherever you are. I hope you will join us in as many places as possible, so please share with friends, family, and co-workers everywhere.

There is not much anyone can do or say. If we can do this, we can send a message to those who are grieving that we care and are thinking about them. Thank you, and blessings to all.
