DIXON – Dorothy Mae Hays, 92, of Dixon, died Sunday, Dec. 16, 2012, at Dixon Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center. She worked at Freeman Shoe Factory before retiring.

Dorothy was born Aug. 25, 1920, in Salem, the daughter of Nelson and Lavina (Roberts) Hays.  

Survivors include her daughter, Doris Caudle of Dixon; two grandchildren, Marlin (Sue) Caudle Jr. and Nancy (Jerry) Senn; five great-grandchildren, Amanda Moore, Emily Caudle, Chance Caudle, Tonya (Kody) Yingling, and Jerry Senn III; and three great-great-grandchildren, Hayden Yingling, Dylan Yingling, and Jayden Senn.

She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers, two sisters and one son-in-law.

Graveside service is 11 a.m. today at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Dixon, with the Rev. Mike Worrell, pastor of Lincoln Avenue Church of God, officiating. Preston-Schilling Funeral Home in Dixon handled arrangements.

Memorials have been established to Happy Tails Animal Shelter and the Alzheimer’s Association.
