STERLING – Richard D. Wiemken, 64, of Sterling, died Thursday, Dec. 13, 2012.

He was manager of Frazee Paint Store in Pacific Beach, Calif. before retiring.

He was born on March 16, 1948 in Sterling, the son of Dale L. and Eva Frances (Martin) Wiemken. He served in the Navy during the Vienam War.

He is survived by two sisters, Sue Schmaling of Sterling and Eva (Scott) Marion of Bourbonnais; his daughter, Sheala Wiemken of Imperial, Calif.; two grandchildren, one great-grandchild and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his twin sister, Sharon Trost; and an infant daughter, Sheila.

Memorial services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at McDonald Funeral Home in Sterling. Burial with military honors will be at Oak Knoll Memorial Park. A memorial will be established.
