Kenneth E. Shidler

STERLING – Kenneth Eugene Shidler, 78, of Sterling, died Friday, Dec. 14, 2012 at Coventry Living Center.

He was the owner and operator of Shidler Auto and Radiator Repair Shop.

Kenneth was born Sept. 19, 1934 in Robinson, the son of George and Juanita (Glosser) Shidler. He married LaVonne Brandenburg on Aug. 15, 1985 in Robinson. She preceded him in death on Oct. 31, 2010.

He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. He also was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church.

Survivors include three daughters; Brenda (Marcelo) Palmer of Sterling; Terry (William) Jackson of St. Louis, Mo. and Debra Loges of Terre Haute, Ind; one sister, Shirley (Frank) Geiger; one brother, Robert (Sara) Shidler; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

He also was preceded in death by his first wife, Marjorie A. Shidler.

Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Calvary Cemetery with the Rev. Juan Ayala of St. Mary’s Catholic Church officiating. There will be no visitation.
