Grant Ames forces OT in Prophets’ win over Ridgewood

Little brother hits big shot

Prophetstown's Carter Ames had 15 points, but his kid brother, Grant, hit the putback that forced overtime in the Prophets' 58-56 win over Ridgewood on Saturday at the ROWVA-Ridgewood tournament.

It was the sophomore's only bucket of the game, and Ethan Howard hit the winner with 30 seconds left in the extra session. Neither team won a period by more than two points, and the Prophets ended their tourney experience with a fourth straight victory.

Devin Johnson scored 13 points for the Prophets (9-3), and Zach Inskeep posted eight points and tied with Howard with a game-high nine rebounds.
