Volunteers needed for VITAS hospice
LASALLE – VITAS Innovative Hospice Care has opportunities for volunteers.
VITAS volunteers visit patients in their homes, nursing homes or assisted living communities, provide support to veterans at the end of life, cut and style patients’ hair, play a patient’s favorite tune, bring their well-behaved pet for a visit, do some household repair or help in the office.
Bereavement volunteers make visits and phone calls to loved ones, sew Memory Bears and help with memorial services.
