DIXON – Shaw Media announced Friday that John Rung, senior vice president, has been named the company’s chief operating officer, effective Jan. 1.

In making the announcement, Tom Shaw, president and CEO of Shaw Media, said that Rung had continued to distinguish himself as a capable leader of a growing and complex organization.

“Our solid performances in these difficult times, and the recent acquisition of the 22 Suburban Life Media publications, have been – in large measure – due to his involvement and guidance,” Shaw said.
