Naperville plans inaugural marathon in 2013
NAPERVILLE (AP) — The Chicago suburb of Naperville is planning its first official marathon next year.
Officials in the western suburb say the 2013 inaugural Naperville Marathon will be run Nov. 10. They say it will be a qualifying race for the Boston Marathon. A group called Naper Events LLC is organizing the race, which will be capped at 4,000 runners.
There will be a full 26.2-mile marathon course and a half-marathon course at 13.1 miles. Registration opens Jan. 28.
