Senior Lucas Terveer, 18, of Rock Falls, is Newman Central Catholic High School’s December Student of the Month. He is the son of Bruce and Jennie Terveer of Rock Falls; his brothers are Nathan Terveer, 16, a junior at Newman, and Jake Terveer, 12, a student at St. Andrew School in Rock Falls. The family has two gerbils, Francisco and Walter Hobbs, named for characters in the movie “Elf.”
