Village website invites public to submit events

Holiday greetings to all of our Mount Morris organizations, both churches and civic, and to all our visitors from the Mount Morris Village Website team.

Many local organizations hold fundraising events, and getting the word out is the one most important part of a successful event. We invite your group to advertise those events on both the “community calendar” and “community bulletin board.” It’s a free and effective way to get the word out. You can even use the calendar for long-range planning to avoid conflict with another group on a particular date.

Send complete details to the “calendar” by going to the ‘”community calendar” page and using the “submit form.” Please give complete details of your event and who the main contact is. The community bulletin board is where you can send your electronic poster to us for posting.

We remind everyone to proofread your information for errors before sending it to us.  We do not do editing.

Starting Jan. 1, the website team will no longer go looking for your information as we have done in the past. You will need to send it to us through the website’s “submit form” found on the two different pages.

We look forward to continuing to see your events on the website (with your help), and we know our visitors will be happy, too. The website can be found by visiting   www.mtmorrisil.net. The website is kept very up-to-date, and feedback is always welcome.

May everyone have a safe and happy holiday season from the team. As chairman of the village website, I’d like to say thanks to Diane Palmer, webmistress, and Linda Miller, editor, for all the tremendous work and effort put into the site to keep it always current and ever changing for our viewers.

Note to readers – Jerry Stauffer is chairman of the website committee.
