Many want to keep Christ in Christmas
This is regarding a letter to the editor on Dec. 8 from Bret Bushaw titled, “Christians get too uppity about greetings.”
Bushaw chose the word uppity in his letter because many Christians insist on saying “Merry Christmas” instead of “Happy Holidays.” I am one of the multitude who is “uppity.” But then again, I am not, because uppity means haughty, snobbish and arrogant; I am not any of those.
The many Christians are faithful, loyal, dedicated and adhere to Jesus Christ, his birth in Bethlehem (no one else’s), and his teachings while on Earth. Bushaw, your letter appears with all good intentions. There are voices that seemed that way, such as those who favor abortion rights and same-sex marriages.
