Shelter seeks help for those less fortunate
At this time of year, most of us take stock of our blessings, being thankful for our health, friends, jobs and warm homes.
However, many in our community find themselves without the most basic necessities – shelter, clothing and food – and thus worry day to day simply how to survive. They often struggle to secure warm shelter and desperately try to improve their situation.
This can be a daunting task when they have limited resources and no transportation, job skills or family to help. No one chooses to be homeless. Many circumstances can cause a family with children or individuals of all ages to find themselves in this dire and sometimes hopeless situation.
