PROPHETSTOWN – Leona M. Rebert, 82, of 17079 Lomax Road, Prophetstown, died Tuesday, Dec. 11, 2012, at Prophets Riverview Good Samaritan Center in Prophetstown. She had worked for the center. 

Leona was born May 8, 1930, in Sterling, the daughter of Paul and Clydia (Vittitow) Lane. She married Gerold E. Rebert on Oct. 15, 1948, in Prophetstown. He preceded her in death on Oct. 2, 2007. She was a member of Leon United Methodist Church in Prophetstown.

Survivors include two daughters, Connie (Ron) Bruder and Corinne (Chuck) Abell, both of Rock Falls; two sons, Rodney Rebert of Prophetstown and Roland (Dorothy) Rebert of Poulsbo, Wash.; eight grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; one sister, Audrey Wright of Sterling; and several aunts and cousins.
