PERRY, Fla. – Gerald “Jerry” Eugene Handley, 73, of Perry, Fla., died Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2012, at his home. He worked for Taylor County Solid Waste Management.

He was born May 2, 1939, in Dixon, the son of William and Helen (Sibigtroth) Handley. He served in the Army for 8 years.

Survivors include three daughters, Dyann (Jack) Foster of Atlanta, and Melody (Travis Albritton) Handley and Stephanie (Jordan Woods) Handley, both of Perry; six grandchildren; one brother, Frank Handley of Dixon; one sister, Mary Howell; and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation was Dec. 7 at Joe P. Burns Funeral Home in Perry. Graveside service was Dec. 8 at Pineview Memorial Cemetary in Perry, officiated by the Rev. Bernie Jakubco.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
