STERLING – Donnell D. “Bob” Tousley, 90, of Sterling, died Wednesday, Dec. 12, 2012, at his home. He was employed by Northwestern Steel and Wire Co. as the vice president of sales.

Bob was born Aug. 13, 1922, in Sterling, the son of Clarence E. and Grace (Williams) Tousley. He married June Desmond on May 14, 1948, in Sterling. She preceded him in death on Sept. 11, 1998. Bob served in the Army during World War II, and was a prisoner of war in Germany. He was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Sterling.  

Survivors include three daughters, Suzanne Hopps of Canton, Mich., Gayle (John) Kellogg of Sterling, and Sara Jutton of Dallas; one brother, Neil (Cynthia) Tousley of Peoria; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

He also was preceded in death by one brother, Darrell Tousley.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at Schilling Funeral Home in Sterling and from 9 to 10 a.m. Saturday at St. John Lutheran Church. The service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the church, with the Rev. Mark Oehlert officiating. Burial will be at Oak Knoll Memorial Park in Sterling. 

A memorial has been established.
