Ricky ‘Rick’ L. Dyson

STERLING – Ricky “Rick” L. Dyson, 45, of Sterling, passed away Monday, Dec. 10, 2012, at CGH Medical Center in Sterling. He was a self-employed mechanic.

Rick was born, Oct. 1, 1967, in Wichita, Kan., the son of John and Louise (Bell) Dyson. He was united in marriage to Kimberly Jacobs on Nov. 2, 1989, in Mount Carroll.

Survivors include his wife, Kimberly; parents, John and Louise; grandmothers, Edith Rowland and Virginia Mae Dyson; daughters, Ciara Dyson of Sterling and Kira Gibble of Colorado; sons, Ryan and Jordan Dyson of Sterling, and Kyle Bradley of Dixon; sister, Lynn McCoy of Amboy; brothers, Frank Schultheis of Wisconsin and James Schultheis of Polo; and five grandchildren, Landyn, Alyssa, Xander, Maleena, and Rikki.

He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, John Bell and Bernard Dyson; stepgrandfather, Cecil Rowland; and a sister, Tina (Dyson) Saxer.

Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m., followed by the memorial service at 11 a.m., Saturday at Church of the Open Bible, 302 S. Franklin Ave., Polo. Polo Family Funeral Home handled arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established.
