Boys roundup: Hudson's jumper lifts Faith to victory in East Moline

You gotta have Faith

Blake Hudson hit a 3-foot jumper in the lane with 3 seconds left to give Faith Christian a 43-41 NICC road victory over East Moline.

Isaac Weber sealed the victory with a block in the lane on the other end. 

Weber finished with 11 points, 10 rebounds and four blocks. Aaron Clardie added 12 points for Faith (6-3). 

Forreston tournament

Polo 77, Milledgeville 58: Brady Bushman poured in 23 points, and Brian Cavanaugh added 17 for fourth-seeded Polo in a consolation-bracket matchup with 14th-seeded Milledgeville.

The Marcos (6-2) led just 31-27 at the half before outscoring the Missiles (2-6) 22-15 in the third period. Jordan Harris scored a team-high 15 points for Milledgeville.

West Carroll

Eastland 67, Fulton Unity 30: Ty Hartman scored a game-high 22 points for the Cougars, who built on a 38-20 halftime lead with a 21-4 advantage in the third period.

Eastland (4-1) scored at least 18 points in each of the first three periods and shot 11-for-14 from the free-throw line.

Scales Mound 60,
Fulton 40: Nick Fish scored a team-high 14 points for the Steamers, who couldn’t crack the win column.

Gavin Glasgow led the Hornets with 16 points. Fish hit two 3s, and Jake Willging added eight points for Fulton, which won the fourth period 12-10.

Erie 55, Warren 22: Jacob Johnston scored 25 points as the Cardinals rolled in a game at Mt. Carroll. 

Erie (6-3) led 10-2 after the first quarter and then 22-9 at half. They broke it open for good with 20 points in the third quarter. Warren (3-7) scored only nine points in the third quarter. 

Rhett Stover added eight points for Erie.

Colmone Classic

St. Bede 69, Bureau Valley 51: The Storm finished strong but couldn’t overcome a substantial deficit through three periods.

Tommy Johnston scored a team-high 17 points for Bureau Valley (6-4), which trailed 62-38 going into the fourth.
