ROCK FALLS – Lois J. Wetzell, 76, of Rock Falls, died Saturday, Dec. 8, 2012, at CGH Medical Center in Sterling.

Lois was born Dec. 16, 1935, in Sterling, the daughter of Albert and Hazel (Dirks) Conklen. She was united in marriage to Richard Wetzell on April 24, 1953, in Maquoketa, Iowa. She was a member of Tampico United Methodist Church and choir, Rebecca’s Circle, and was a 4-H leader.

Lois is survived by her husband, Richard of Rock Falls; three sons, Rodney (Edna) Wetzell of Rock Falls, Steve (JoEllen) Wetzell of Sterling and Tom (Laurie) Wetzell of Rock Falls; one daughter, Kathy (Randy) Ganschow of Mendota; 10 grandchildren, Heidi (Mike) Wiersema of Tolono, Adam (Melissa) Wetzell of Fenton, Christy Wetzell of Rock Falls, Cory (Nicole) Wetzell of Oak Lawn, Nina Wetzell of Williamsport, Pa., Danielle (Dylan) Wittig of Baileyville, Allyson Wetzell of Rock Falls, Justin (Gina) Ganschow of Sherwood, Ark., Jessalynn (Doug) DeSerf of Peru, and Jillian (Adam Sparks) Ganschow of Kissimmee, Fla.; five great-grandchildren, Taylor and Austin Wiersema, Makayla Wetzell and Blake and Luke Wittig; one uncle, George (Donna) Conklen of Sherman; and several cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Tampico United Methodist Church. The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the church, with the Rev. Esther Lee, pastor officiating. Burial will be at Tampico Memorial Cemetery. Arrangements were handled by Garland Funeral Home in Tampico.

Memorials have been established in her name to Tampico United Methodist Church and the Parkinson Foundation.
