Frances L. Johnson

ROCK FALLS – Frances L. Johnson, 92, of Rock Falls, died Saturday, Dec. 8, 2012, at Rock Falls Rehabilitation and Health Care Center.

Frances was born July 13, 1920, in Pierce, S.D., the daughter of Frank and Ethel Fritz. She married Robert Johnson, and was employed at Wahl Clipper. Frances was a loving mom and grandma.

Survivors include two sons, Marvin (Mary) Stevens of Milledgeville and Larry Stevens of Rock Falls; four sisters, Ada Haag of Madison, S.D., Pearl Forest of Sioux City, Iowa, Lois Mitchell of Rock Falls, and Rose Hellenbeck of Colorado; two brothers, Bill (Betty) Fritz of Palestine, Texas, and Frank Fritz of Phoenix; six grandchildren, Cindy Stevens, Robbie Stevens, Robin Byrant, Vicky Andrew, Tracy (Duane) Calhoun, and Randy Cramm; eight great-grandchildren, Jacie Drost, Waylon Drost, Megan Calhoun, Kassidy Calhoun, Samantha Countryman, Tommy Dyson, Taylor Stevens, and Allen Wright; and one great-great-granddaughter, Kloee Countryman.

She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; five sons, Allen, Roger, Robert, Darrel, and Gary; two daughters-in-law, Edith Stevens and Barb King Stevens; one granddaughter, Tina Stevens; two brothers, Jim Haag and Lee Cutter; and four sisters, Hazel Gapp, Louise Peterson, Ethel Rippinger, and Lucille Shingerling.

The memorial service will be at a later day. There will be no visitation. Arrangements were handled by McDonald Funeral Home in Rock Falls.

Memorials may be sent to Hospice of the Rock River Valley or Liberty Baptist Church in Rock Falls.
