STERLING – A driver was cited for failure to yield after hitting another car on East Lincolnway on Saturday, police said.

Shortly before 9 a.m., Evelyn M. Tarbill, 66, of Polo, was eastbound when she turned left onto Polo Road, driving in front of a car driven by Barbara J. Schaver, 61, of Morrison, Sterling police said.

Tarbill’s car then struck a southbound car, driven by Kerrie L. Aggen, 40, of Rock Falls, police said.

Tarbill and her passenger, Delbert M. Tarbill, 76, were taken to CGH Medical Center for minor injuries, police said.

Evelyn Tarbill was given a notice to appear in court.
