Three Rockford men charged with selling heroin

BYRON – Deputies arrested three Rockford men who sold 24 bags of heroin to an informant, Sheriff Michael Harn said in a news release.

Jay Moore, 38, Shasta C. Alonzo, 40, and Tyler M. Smith, 24, are charged with delivery of heroin within 1,000 feet of a park. Alonzo also is charged with possession of crack cocaine. Moore also is charged with resisting a peace officer.

Moore and Alonzo were in the Ogle County Jail Thursday on $250,000 and $50,000 bond, respectively. Smith posted $2,500 Wednesday and was released.
